Jammer's Primary Bee Quilt from Crayon Box Quilt Studio

I've been feeling really good about getting long awaiting projects crossed off my To Do list. This is the newest UFO to receive my attention.

Way back in 2014 I hosted the Primary Bee. My kids wanted to participate in some sewing and I thought this would be a great way for them to connect with other kids who were sewing too. We had 12 kids, including my 2, participating.

Cats in the Lagoon, a quilt for JB from Crayon Box Quilt Studio


My daughter loves cats! She watches cat videos, wants/buys things with cats on them and snuggles our 2 cats almost non-stop. When I first came across the Cookie Cat pattern by Lori J. Miller in a magazine many years ago, I knew she would go crazy over it and want one of her own.

During the pandemic we updated her bedroom, taking it from Pink/Purple little girlish to pale Aqua tween vibe.  These are the "before" photos.


 
The new paint color, Sea Ice by Behr.

Where have I been? from Crayon Box Quilt Studio

 I don't think any blogger means to not post for almost 2 months.  Certainly I don't but sometimes life gets in the way of things we want to do.  What have I been up to lately?

Sunshine hasn't had any motivation to work on the new quilt for her bed so when I asked if she wanted help, she readily said Yes.  At the rate she was going, this quilt was never going to get done.  All of the blocks are sewn and I'm working on adding the faces before I add the sashing and border ...
